AI Processing Disclosure
Version: 2026-10-14 · Effective: October 14, 2026
This disclosure explains how Attribase uses artificial-intelligence services to process data in your account. It supplements the Attribase Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By using an AI feature or acknowledging this disclosure in the app, you confirm you have read and accept the terms below.
1. What data each AI feature sends
These features send data to our AI provider. Each one runs only when someone in your account uses it, and sends only data from the clients it's being used for.
- AI data cleaner: every row of the file you upload to it, including any names, email addresses, phone numbers, mailing addresses, click IDs (GCLID, FBCLID), order IDs and amounts in it; the column headers; and the platform and upload type you chose.
- Column-mapping suggestions (when you upload a file): the column headers, and sample values from the first rows for columns Attribase can't match on its own. Sample values can include personal data.
- AI Advisor: your questions, and account and campaign figures for the clients you ask about: client and campaign names, spend, clicks, conversions, revenue and sales totals. It isn't sent customers' contact details.
- Sales analysis: statistics about a client's sales, such as totals, trends, how many reached Google and Meta, and top customers by name only. Email addresses and phone numbers are removed first.
- Dashboard commentary: the dashboard's figures, such as series and campaign names, totals and peaks.
Never sent: sign-in codes, session tokens, API keys, Google or Meta access tokens, or payment details.
2. Who processes the data
The AI provider is Anthropic, PBC, operating the Claude family of large language models. Data is transmitted to Anthropic's API endpoints via encrypted HTTPS. Anthropic processes the data on Attribase's behalf as a sub-processor:
Under Anthropic's commercial API terms, customer inputs and outputs are not used to train Anthropic's models unless the customer explicitly opts in. Attribase has not opted in. Anthropic retains inputs and outputs solely for the purpose of providing the service and, where applicable, for a limited period for abuse-prevention purposes.
3. Why the data is processed
The AI Cleaner normalizes uploaded CSVs into the exact shape Google Ads and Meta require for offline-conversion imports. Typical operations: normalizing date/time formats, correcting currency codes, stripping placeholder click identifiers, repairing malformed emails, flagging out-of-window dates, removing duplicate rows.
Column-mapping suggestions match your file's columns to the fields Attribase needs. The AI Advisor, sales analysis and dashboard commentary turn your figures into written explanations and suggestions.
In every feature the AI only suggests and explains. It doesn't decide attribution, doesn't add data from outside sources beyond a contacts list you choose to provide, and never sends anything to the ad platforms itself.
4. How the data is stored
- Uploaded rows and the AI-cleaned output are stored in Attribase's production database for up to 7 days so you can download or re-run the transformation. After 7 days the row is auto-purged.
- Anthropic's retention is governed by their terms (typically up to 30 days for abuse-prevention purposes).
5. Legal basis (GDPR / UK GDPR)
Attribase relies on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) in providing the AI Cleaner service you have requested, and where applicable contract performance (Article 6(1)(b)). You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting admin@hellionstudios.com — this will disable the AI Cleaner for your user account.
6. Your responsibilities as an uploader
By uploading data to the AI Cleaner, you represent that:
- You have the necessary rights and legal bases to transmit the data to Attribase and its sub-processors.
- You have provided any required notices and obtained any required consents from the data subjects.
- The data does not include special-category personal data under Article 9 GDPR unless separately agreed with Attribase.
- The data does not violate Anthropic's Acceptable Use Policy.
7. Accuracy and human review
The AI Cleaner is a normalization tool, not a substitute for your review. Attribase does not warrant that cleaned output is error-free. Review the cleaned data before uploading it to Google Ads or Meta. Original rows are preserved alongside cleaned rows so you can diff.
8. Data-subject rights
To exercise data-subject access, deletion, or rectification requests regarding data in uploaded files, contact admin@hellionstudios.com.
9. Updates to this disclosure
When we materially change this disclosure — new sub-processor, expanded scope, changed retention — the version number at the top is incremented and users are re-prompted to acknowledge the new version on their next upload. Prior versions are preserved in the source repository's git history.
